Our property is uniquely private surrounded by woods perfect for bird watching, sightseeing, stargazing under a bonfire, turkey hunting, and more! A true 'Cabin in the Woods' experience, but you'll do anything but "rough it" here with our pristinely clean home, including all of the modern amenities.
Our Lodge is big enough to sleep 11 yet cozy enough to be enjoyed by 2. We have taken special measures to provide adequate space for everyone with large closets, spacious bedrooms, a large, finished basement, dining for everybody, and a beautiful open concept layout that allows everyone to feel at ease. Our spacious kitchen is fully stocked with items ranging from a pizza cutter to a crockpot, and everything in between; it's100% ready for family gatherings.

Summary: Wonderful place! Everything was exactly as described. The cabin was perfect for 5 teenage girls and two adults. We had a good balance of “chilling out” and taking in the UP. There was plenty of space for the girls to spread out. The location was perfect - just over an hour to Pictured Rocks and less than 20 minutes to the beaches in Gladstone and Escanaba. Communicating with the host was easy and mostly unnecessary. We had one issue with a wasp nest that was addressed very quickly. Detailed directions provided were perfect (especially because the trek back to the cabin is a little different). If we find ourselves in the Escanaba area again, we would definitely consider staying here.
