Hello! My husband Sean and I are "empty nesters" and now have extra space available in our home. We live above a studio unit - double bed, flat screen TV, private bath, kitchenette (tea kettle, Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, Instapot, hotplate, crockpot, refrigerator, sink), large walk-in closet, access to shared laundry, with private entry from a gated courtyard with BBQ grill. Our location is very walkable: close to Saturday Farmers' Market, Lake Merritt, shops, restaurants, gyms, groceries (Trader Joe's), movie theater, bars, and public transportation. Oakland is a very vibrant, inclusive, and diverse city just 7 miles from San Francisco and 5 miles from Berkeley with many transportation options to get you there.
We are primarily English speakers (I speak some Spanish and a little bit of French) but I will try my best! We also have a tenant with a dog who uses the courtyard to access her fenced cottage in the back of the property. We have a dog too. Supplies for coffee/tea and breakfast (oatmeal/cereal, fruit, yogurt) are included for first few days to get you started. We are happy to provide you with recommendations and advice to help make your stay more enjoyable.
This room is ground level, behind and under the main house where landlords live with their dog. Private entry is through a quiet courtyard.
