A restored mansion located 6 blocks from the Mississippi River in DAVENPORT, IOWA, for Family Reunions, Corporate Retreats, Extended stays, Anniversary Celebrations, Memorial Services, Weddings, Showers, Bachelorette Slumber Parties and Conferences.
All prospective guests must communicate with host prior to booking when planning large events or parties requiring seating for more than 20 people.
We host many Groom's Families who stay together when they arrive for the wedding.

15 minutes from the Quad Cities International Airport makes this location perfect for large group gatherings of up to 100 during the day and comfortable lodging for 12 for overnight stays. If you have larger groups, we have another restored Victorian just a few doors down in the same block.
The Spirit of Hospitality! Once you take the keys, you take over this mansion as if it were your own. We can supply our 5-star list of caterers, music and lighting contractors or you can provide your own.
This three-story 1894 mansion has been fully restored to its original splendor. The downstairs features a huge gourmet catering kitchen, dining room, library and parlor with two original fireplaces and a panoramic view from its bay windows of the lighted Centennial Bridge and the mighty Mississippi River in Davenport, Iowa.
Hand-painted vaulted “sunrise” ceiling and hand-carved grand staircase for spectacular debuts of blushing brides for all guests to see. 2nd Floor features a huge landing and four bedrooms complete with four complete baths. The master bedroom makes a perfect place for the bride and her maids to prepare because there is an additional connected parlor. This leaves four spare rooms for the groom and family members.
Once featured in the “Save this Old House” section of This Old House Magazine, this house has had a wonderful history. We’ve replaced or restored all hardwood floors, moldings, leaded windows, light fixtures, tiled entryway and marble fireplaces using local artisans and craftsmen. Period antiques have been gathered and refurbished to exactly complement the mansion. The spectacular entryway frescoes were discovered under layers of paint and have been meticulously restored. Seven different complementary colors highlight the intricate details of the exterior of the house surrounded by attractive landscaping.
Restoring this house has been our dream and has taken us years to complete but we are finally ready to welcome you to our home.

Adolph Priester House
The Priester house at 811 7th Street is now ready-fully restored and available for rental. This is the house we stay in when we are in Davenport, Iowa, and we consider it our home. It is equally as nice as the Witt house (The House listed on VRBO #817328 ), and is actually larger - one more bedroom, plus the 3rd floor suite which can accommodate four people. I love it because the master bedroom is on the first floor and there is a separate tub and shower in the en suite bath as well as another full bath on the first floor. The dining room is much larger, and the kitchen is larger also, although only one stove, not two. The downstairs living room is a little smaller, but there is a big family room-parlor on the second floor. Of course, several TV’s and wi-fi is available. Not so much off street parking, but ample for 3 cars because you can use the driveway of the house next door (817 7th Street, Vrbo # 1452854) ) which we own as well, but have not yet finished restoring. It is a wonderful Queen Anne and actually Sandy’s favorite.
