Home is located in the Blue Hills neighborhood of Kansas City. The neighborhood is close to the urban core and has a lot of diversity. In 2008 the neighborhood was greatly affected by the housing crisis but by 2021 most of the homes have been renovated due to young people moving into the area - just like this one! Most everyone knows everyone on the block and have barbecues in the summertime. There are lots of kids playing in the street and running down the sidewalks.
The neighborhood is an 8 minute drive to the County Club Plaza (shopping district) and a 4 minute drive to UMKC/Rockhurst. There are a lot of college aged kids and professors that live in the area. The neighborhood is close to highway 71 and will take you anywhere in KC. The Kansas City Zoo is a 9 minute drive and is located in Swope Park. A great place for families and solo travelers!
Please park in front of the house on the street. The driveway is shared with the house and the neighbor to the left. Do not park there as the neighbor likes to get in and out. Highway access close by. You will need a car or uber/lyft if you need to go somewhere. This is a residential area so there are no stores/restaurants to walk to near by.
Downstairs is another rented space. You may experience friendly neighbor noise. The downstairs has its own separate entrance on the side of the house. Quiet hours are 11pm to 7am and are to be respected by both parties renting the home.
You may see neighbors walking around outside. Some neighbors throw BBQs and outdoor get togethers during the summer. There are also kids down the street that play on a trampoline outside. You might hear them.
