Redwood Retreat | Apartment in Eureka

Redwood Retreat is a lovely one bedroom, completely private apartment in my home in Eureka. My 125 year old Victorian farmhouse has been made into 4 apartments, two of which are Airbnb's. This one is located on the lower floor. It has a completely stocked kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, a queen bed in the bedroom, a smart TV, and a couch that folds into a twin bed in the living room. A laundry room is also available. It contains everything you need for a comfortable long or short-term stay.
The space
The apartment is on a quiet, neighborhood street with little traffic. The other tenants living in the house are all very quiet, so if you want a quiet place to stay and relax, this is it. It is close to shopping, markets, and restaurants. It takes about 6 minutes to get to Old Town where all the fun touristy shops and fine dining is. A 4-minute drive gets you to the beach. A 7-minute drive gets you to the nearest place to walk in the Redwoods. How to get there is described in the check-in manual. The living room contains a fold down couch that sleeps one person of about 6 feet. There is extra cushioning for the couch underneath it to make it into a really comfortable bed. There is also plenty of bedding and extra blankets. There is a gas heater in the apartment for those cool mornings and evenings when it is needed. A dining room table easily doubles as a work space.
Guest access
The entire apartment is yours. You also have free use of the laundry room which is right next door to the apartment. Laundry room hours are 9 AM to 7 PM. Complimentary detergent is provided free of charge. There are a couple of outdoor chairs if you would like to enjoy the back yard, where fruit trees abound, as well as numerous redwoods that line a little stream at the bottom of my half acer property. You are welcome to enjoy the fruit when it is ripe.
Other things to note
My daughter is offering vinyasa flow style yoga classes in her sun room for $20 per person. She lives just a couple of minutes away. Also this season she is offering personalized eco-tours based on the season, interest and abilities. $200 for a 6 hour tour. As a Humboldt Native she know a lot of sweet spots.
