Cozy oceanfront cottage on Waterman’s Beach, South Thomaston, Maine. The cottage sleeps 2/4. Walk four steps to the sandy/rocky beach. Ten minutes to Rockland, the Lobster Capital of the World and the art center of the mid-coast. Fifteen minutes to PenBay Medical center in Rockland. The Rockland Chamber of Commerce, located in Rockland Harbor has information on local events and activities. Twenty minutes to Camden’s beautiful harbor, full of windjammers. Visit the many art galleries and the Farnsworth Art Museum, antique shops, numerous gourmet restaurants, the Prison Shop. Explore the little villages of the St, George Peninsula: Spruce Head, Owls Head, Tenants Harbor, Port Clyde. Enjoy the views from Owls Head Light, Marshall Point lighthouse, and the Breakwater light house.
The cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed, bathroom with a shower (small), kitchen with electric stove (new last year), refrigerator, coffee maker (new last year) and basic kitchen supplies. The livingroom has a double futon. There is electric baseboard heat. No TV. No Wifi. No internet. And OH what a view!!!! Please Note We Are Beside Watermans Brewery! You will hear them! Check out their facebook page. No smoking of anything- legal or otherwise! Please we have severe asthma!
Nice pets are welcome for an additional fee of $50 each.
Please note I use Modern Pest Control to control mice, carpenter ants, fleas, ticks and mosquitoes, because a women down the street died of a tick bite. The beach roses attract bumble bees, but they are so intoxicated they don't bother anyone.
The sea wall is done! with steps to the beach!!!!!! BUT there is not a railing on the steps.
PLEASE NOTE - This is NOT handicapped accessible. There are 2 steps on to the deck and 1 more step into the cottage. The toilet is of average height. The shower is small and there is a two inch lip to the shower. There is no railings on the steps. PLEASE do not come if you have any mobility issues.
