Welcome to Lake Bluff Retreat-A quaint lake vacation home close to Mammoth Cave, Corvette Museum, Kentucky Down Under and many other wonderful attractions! Lake Bluff Retreat sits lakeside on an acre of land with beautiful seasonal views of Barren River Lake!
From the moment you walk into this charming house you will feel the warmth and privacy of the home and the calm of the lake. Sit, relax and enjoy a beautiful sunset right on your back porch or bring your thirst for adventure on the lake by enjoying many of the hiking trails nearby, rent a boat for the day or enjoy one of the many attractions this area has to offer!
Lake Bluff Retreat is a 3bd/2 full bath with a fully appointed kitchen, large living room, and boast a fabulous back deck and sweet front porch perfect for drinking coffee. Fire up the gas grill and enjoy a meal on the deck overlooking the lake. After dinner, bring your family inside for board games or a movie on TV. Or bring your smores makings and relax by a roaring fire at our fire pit area.
Please keep in mind that our property has a beautiful lake view from October-April. The other months are still fabulous but the foliage on the trees obstructs some of the views of the lake. Our property sits on one acre of large, mature trees and provides plenty of shade in the summer.
Please know we do not have access to the water or a dock. There are several marinas close by and only a short drive to the public boat landing.
Our home is a short drive from all of the following locations:
1. Bowling Green (approx. 40 minutes away)-Lost River Cave, Chaneys Dairy Farm, Corvette Museum, Jackson Orchard, Beech Bend Park, The Mint Gaming center, as well as some wonderful places to eat!
2. Nashville, TN (approx. 1 1/2 hours away)
3. Louisiville, KY (approx. 2 hours away) -enjoy the Bourbon Tour (keep in mind that Louisiville is EST)
4. Glasgow/Cave City (approx. 30 minutes away) - Mammoth Cave, Dinosaur World and Kentucky Down Under (an interactive zoo with live kangaroos, etc.)
5. The Ark Experience (approx. 3 hours away and EST)
There are a number of local attractions at your doorstop. Bailey's Point Campground is 5 minutes away and offers boat/kayak launching for $5 a day.
Barren River State Park and Marina is approx. 10 minutes away and offers a wonderful public beach, horseback riding, and boat and jet ski rentals. Don't forget your golf clubs to play at the 18 hole challenging course situated in the beautiful rolling hills of the park!
